Veracruz, Ver., November 22^nd, 2010.-  In The National Conservational Week, the Port of  Veracruz, set up the first stone of the Tematical Park “La Pinera” which will have a surface of 19hectares with the objective to protect and preserve the nature along the coast ecosystems.

There is an investment of 14 million pesos in this place that it will be also dedicated for temporary expo´s  conferences and work- shops for the kids environmental education, so they can have a better understanding about the global warming said the Apiver General Director.

In this matter he added that Apiver has sowed 500 thousand trees in the past 5 years, operates 3 units of environmental management and keeps several programs to protect and preserve natural resources.

Also said that in this park there is least 4 kind of coastal ecosystem which can be visited through 1500 mts of walking halls this tour can be done by walking or by an electric train.

The tour will start at one plaza located at the west, going through adapted roads, plazoletas, a bridge and a tunnel, at each plaza there are going to be resting area, game, kioskos and coffee shops so the visitors spends a comfortable time.

J.I.F.C said that it is also projected multipurpose  building  which will have and special  area for temporary expo´s and room dedicated to the environmental education.

Also it is been projected construction of three towers in high areas with objective to work as a bird observatory and also to appreciate the port and city panorama landscape as a premise of  design, it is consider to use references related to the port facilities so the park and the port of Veracruz would share the same identity.
