APIVER grants ships from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force PDF Print E-mail

 

Veracruz., Ver., 19th , 2011.- The Port of  Veracruz  Administration (APIVER), welcome Masatoshi Kashihara, Commanding Officer  Japan Training Squadron and Capitan  of the “JS  Kashima”.

The Capitan Masatoshi Kashihara, explained  to  Juan Ignacio Fernandez Carbajal, APIVER  General Director, that the name from this ship, comes from a famous shinto shrine  in prefecture Ibakari, north east from Tokio.

The “Kashima” along  whit  the “Asagiri” and the destroyed “Mineyuki”  are the three ships from the Japan Maritime Self – Defense  Force  that arrived Veracruz to develop several activities  in the Japanese Culture Week in Mexico.

This ships are docked in the tourist pier from this city and will remain at the port until next July 21sr; one  of this ships its   open to be visited by tourism an locals.
